Interpreting
Not all meetings can be conducted in English. Sometimes it is best for all parties to speak in the language they are most comfortable speaking.
AQI offers the following interpreting services during these times:
Simultaneous Interpreting
Mode of interpreting where the interpreter is speaking simultaneously with the speaker with minimal pauses. Typically used for court hearings, seminars, lectures, etc.
Consecutive Interpreting
Delivering a message from one language into another in a sequential manner after the speaker has completed a thought. The speaker should pause at regular intervals to ease the delivery of his or her statements through the interpreter. Typically used for negotiations, meetings, medical appointments, informal conversations, etc.
Escort Interpreting
A type of consecutive interpretation where the interpreter follows the person in need of interpretation from place to place. Typically used for informal meetings with clients at airports, city tours, or meeting delegations.
